Meghan Markle and Prince Harry are actively involved in several new projects with Netflix, including a film and two other unscripted endeavors, according to a statement from a company executive.
The Duke and Duchess of Sussex signed a lucrative five-year deal with the California-based streaming giant in 2020, estimated to be worth around $100 million (£80 million). With their previous Spotify contract ending early in June last year, speculation has arisen about the potential renewal of their Netflix deal next year.
Bela Bajaria, Netflix's chief content officer, disclosed during a promotional event in Hollywood that Harry and Meghan have a variety of projects in development under their production company, Archewell Productions.
Reportedly, the Sussexes are working on "a couple of unscripted things," likely documentaries, along with a film and a series, all in the early stages of development.
While specific details about the shows remain undisclosed, it's speculated that the film project could be related to Harry and Meghan's planned adaptation of the novel "Meet Me At The Lake," estimated at £3 million.
The couple's recent appearance in Jamaica, where they were invited by the family of Paramount boss Brian Robbins, has also stirred interest and speculation about their future collaborations and engagements.
