Reports indicate that the former working royal, Meghan Markle, has opted to decline a potentially lucrative offer.
Contrary to earlier speculation suggesting her return to the Suits spin-off, Express.co.uk recently reported that the Duchess of Sussex has chosen to forego the opportunity.
According to LA-based media finance analyst Mike Raia, Meghan's decision could have significant financial implications. Raia stated, "This could become the costliest decision of her life and one that she may bitterly regret in years to come."
Raia emphasized that the lead character of the spin-off, Erica, was crafted specifically with Meghan in mind, implying a substantial salary increase compared to her original earnings.
Estimating that Meghan could have earned "half a million dollars per episode" if she accepted the role, Raia expressed bewilderment at her refusal of what he perceives as a considerable opportunity.
"While I understand their ambition to establish themselves in Hollywood, declining this offer might prove to be a costly misstep driven by pride," Raia remarked, hinting at potential repercussions for Meghan's career trajectory.
