Meghan Markle and Prince Harry's recent website launch, Sussex.com, has purportedly caused friction with King Charles and Princess Kate, both facing health challenges.
The California-based couple's choice of Sussex.com, echoing their royal title, has stirred controversy, with royal expert Angela Levin expressing concern to The Sun. Levin suggested that the couple's actions are exacerbating stress for the ailing monarch and Kate, who is recovering from surgery.
"It's the most unfortunate timing. This isn't the first instance of such behavior," Levin remarked, referencing the couple's Oprah interview during Prince Philip's hospitalization.
Levin noted, "Harry knows well that his late grandmother, the Queen, emphasized his commitment to refrain from using titles and crests for commercial purposes."
Despite criticism, a source close to the couple defended their decision, asserting, "Prince Harry and Meghan are the Duke and Duchess of Sussex. That's a fact. It's their surname and family name," as reported by the Daily Mail.
