Omid Scobie, often considered a spokesperson for Prince Harry and Meghan Markle, addressed the recent controversy surrounding the couple's new website.
The Duke and Duchess of Sussex introduced their latest platform, Sussex.com, as a nod to their royal title.
Following the unveiling, royal experts and commentators criticized Harry and Meghan for continuing to associate with the royal family despite their relocation from the UK in 2020.
In response to the backlash, Omid Scobie took to X (formerly Twitter) to defend the couple, dismissing the criticism as unnecessary and indicative of misplaced priorities.
"The fact that a simple homepage has sparked numerous negative op-eds and outraged reactions from commentators shows that many individuals here simply have nothing better to do," Scobie remarked.
"Move on! Engage with reality. Discover an intriguing narrative. This endless cycle is incredibly tiresome," he added.
Previously, a source close to Harry and Meghan countered criticisms over the website's name, asserting, "Prince Harry and Meghan are the Duke and Duchess of Sussex. That's a fact. It's their surname and family name," as reported by the Daily Mail.
