Amid Queen Elizabeth's absence and King Charles's revelation of his cancer diagnosis, Prince Harry and Meghan Markle are seen capitalizing on the vulnerability of the Royal Family through a strategic website redesign, as noted by royal commentator Kinsey Schofield.
This calculated move, occurring in the aftermath of King Charles's health disclosure, appears to be a deliberate seizing of opportunity, Schofield explained to GBN America.
Shortly after the announcement, the couple rolled out an updated website highlighting their royal titles.
Critics argue that such actions may run counter to the late Queen's desires, particularly given the couple's prior efforts to distance themselves from royal conventions.
"The website's redesign is raising eyebrows," remarked Schofield to Patrick Christys. "It seems as though they're exploiting the absence of the Queen and the King's incapacity. With him stepping back from his royal duties, it gives the impression they're taking advantage of the situation."
Their former platform, Archewell, named after their son Archie, has now been replaced by the Sussex.com domain.
Featuring a prominent image of the couple and the caption "The Office of Prince Harry and Meghan, The Duke & Duchess of Sussex," the main web page signals a clear rebranding.
Responding to criticism following the relaunch, the couple issued a defiant statement, affirming their resilience.
"They stand firm," declared a spokesperson. "Despite constant scrutiny and criticism, they remain dedicated to their beliefs and endeavors. This couple refuses to be broken."
Schofield speculated that the motive behind this change might stem from the perceived dilution of the Archewell brand.
"They've significantly diluted the Archewell brand over the past few years," she observed. "The core values of their charity or foundation remain unclear. What's the end goal? Perhaps someone has advised them to separate Archewell from their personal lives and the chaos therein. It's tarnishing the credibility of this charitable brand they're striving to establish."
