Prince Harry hurried from Montecito, California, to the UK after receiving a personal call informing him of his father King Charles's cancer diagnosis.
Upon landing at Heathrow Airport on Tuesday afternoon, Prince Harry was met with a brief visit from King Charles. Two black SUVs were seen leaving the airport's VIP Windsor Suite and arriving at the royal residence around 2:42 pm.
According to reports from Express.co.uk, the father and son had a short conversation inside, lasting a mere 45 minutes, before Prince Harry departed. Shortly afterward, King Charles emerged from Clarence House and departed for Buckingham Palace.
The monarch is expected to remain at Sandringham for the foreseeable future to focus on his recuperation. Despite the nearly four-year-long feud between Charles and his younger son, signs of reconciliation began to surface towards the end of last year.
While palace officials provided no details about the content of their private meeting, the brief reunion between father and son has sparked hopes among friends and family that they may find a way to mend their rift, despite potential simmering tensions.
