Prince Harry made a surprise appearance at Thursday's NFL Honors in Las Vegas, just hours after returning from the UK.
The Duke of Sussex delighted attendees by presenting the Walter Payton NFL Man of the Year award to Cameron Heyward, catching both the audience and viewers off guard.
During his presentation, Prince Harry praised the Pittsburgh Steelers defensive tackle for his outstanding contributions to the game. "There's one special man we'd like to pay tribute to now," he remarked. "A player who goes above and beyond, and whose extraordinary commitment to helping others is a reflection of his own story."
Clearly star-struck by the presence of the prince, Heyward exclaimed into the microphone, "Man, Prince freaking Harry. Man, I'm in shock. That's Prince Harry."
This appearance marks Prince Harry's latest public engagement following his return to California from a brief visit to his cancer-stricken father, King Charles, in the UK.
Earlier this week, Harry boarded an overnight flight to the UK after the 75-year-old monarch personally informed him of his cancer diagnosis, which was discovered during a corrective procedure for his enlarged prostate last month.
According to Buckingham Palace, King Charles will step back from public-facing duties for a period as he prepares to commence regular treatment.
