Reports of Prince Harry's apparent fondness for Kate Middleton have reportedly stirred frustration in Meghan Markle.
Meghan Markle is said to have felt "envious" of Kate Middleton, as Prince Harry was rumored to be "a little in love" with his sister-in-law.
According to royal expert Ingrid Seward, in conversation with the Telegraph, the Duchess of Sussex appeared discontent with the dynamics of Prince Harry's relationship.
"Regrettably, it seems to implicate Meghan, doesn't it? Perhaps Harry harbored some affection for Kate," remarked Seward.
"I'm not speaking of physical attraction, but rather an emotional connection. Do you recall when it was just the three of them? He always wished for a sister; he confided in Diana about that. I believe he admired her psychologically, always present at Kensington Palace, asking, 'What's for supper?'"
Meghan's purported envy of Kate extended beyond their relationship, as she was said to covet Kate's princess status.
"I believe Meghan must have felt extremely envious, even resentful, of Kate. I heard Meghan anticipated becoming a princess and living in Windsor Castle. Instead, there's William and Kate in this splendid home, while they reside in Nottingham Cottage, which Harry jokingly referred to as 'my hovel'."
