The Duke of Sussex embarked on an 11-hour journey from California to London for a brief 45-minute rendezvous with King Charles.
Prince Harry hurried to reunite with his ailing father, King Charles, following a personal call from the monarch concerning his cancer diagnosis.
Undertaking an 11-hour voyage from California to London, the Duke of Sussex was swiftly ushered to Clarence House for a heart-to-heart with his father. Their meeting, reportedly intense, lasted a mere 45 minutes, after which Harry promptly boarded a return flight home, all within a span of 24 hours.
Although speculation hinted at a prolonged stay, it appears Harry's departure from the UK was meticulously orchestrated to quell further speculation about King Charles's health.
Pauline Maclaran, Professor of Marketing and Consumer Research at the School of Management, Royal Holloway University,
"Harry's foremost concern is rejoining his family. However, prolonging his visit would have fueled apprehensions about the severity of King Charles's diagnosis," she remarked.
"At present, reassurance is paramount, especially with Prime Minister Rishi Sunak's statement emphasizing the early detection of the King's cancer."
Prince Harry, no longer having a UK residence following his eviction from Frogmore Cottage last year, was spotted beaming as he arrived at Heathrow airport on Wednesday, bound for the US to reunite with his wife Meghan Markle and their two children, Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet.
