The Royal Family's recent adjustments, particularly on their website, indicate a subtle yet significant shift in their relationship with Prince Harry and Meghan Markle following their resignation from senior royal duties.
Despite significant changes within the Royal Family, their website remains riddled with errors, which some speculate may carry undertones of disregard toward the Duke and Duchess of Sussex.
Last August, media outlets, including Express.co.uk, highlighted numerous inaccuracies on the website, such as referring to the late Queen Elizabeth II as the reigning monarch and retaining Prince Harry's HRH title. While some corrections were made, many errors persisted.
A notable alteration was observed in the hierarchy of royal members on the website, with Prince Harry and Meghan relegated to the bottom, positioned just above Prince Andrew but below other members like the Duke and Duchess of Gloucester and the Duke of Kent.
While these discrepancies could be attributed to oversight, they might also convey a deliberate message suggesting a perceived disconnect between the Sussexes and the rest of the family.
Royal commentator Richard Fitzwilliams noted that these errors reflect a sense of detachment, stating, "Their biographies really should either be updated, or alternatively exist in name only. There is no way that these reflect current events and this obviously reflects on the website as a whole."
