The Palace's communication follows an ongoing investigation into alleged breaches at the medical facility where the Duchess of Cambridge underwent abdominal surgery earlier this year.
Renowned royal commentator Chris Ship took to his X (formerly known as Twitter) platform to relay the official stance of the Prince and Princess of Wales' office on this concerning matter.
A spokesperson for Kensington Palace responded, "Regarding the alleged unauthorized access to Kate's medical records by hospital staff: 'This issue falls under the jurisdiction of The London Clinic.'"
Conversely, The London Clinic released its own statement, asserting its unwavering commitment to patient confidentiality and privacy. The statement read, "We staunchly uphold that all our patients, irrespective of their stature, are entitled to complete confidentiality and privacy concerning their personal medical data."
Journalist Russell Myers further elaborated on the situation in a tweet, revealing, "Following allegations of a staff member at The London Clinic accessing the medical records of the Princess of Wales, an official investigation has been initiated."
Speaking to The Mirror, Myers disclosed that "senior executives" from the medical institution had promptly notified Kensington Palace about the breach, assuring a comprehensive probe into the matter.
"This incident constitutes a significant breach of security and poses considerable reputational damage to the hospital, known for its impeccable track record in catering to royal family members," Myers commented.
