Lex Scott Davis has confirmed that filming for the highly anticipated Suits spinoff will commence in April.
Speaking about the much-discussed Suits L.A., the actress hinted at the potential involvement of the original cast in the legal drama's spinoff.
During her appearance at the ESSENCE Black Women in Hollywood event, the First Purge actress disclosed to People magazine that production for the spinoff is set to kick off in April.
Lex remarked, "There's a pilot script, and that's what we'll be filming in April."
She continued optimistically, "Fingers crossed that the pilot garners a series order. But, I'm quite excited. I'm fairly confident we'll secure our series order, no doubt."
For those unfamiliar, Lex will portray the character of Erica Rollins, described as a "savvy and strong-willed rising star who works for Ted Black," a former federal prosecutor, in the upcoming drama.
Expressing her enthusiasm for the new project, the actress exclaimed, "...the buzz surrounding Suits L.A. is just incredible. And I'm loving it. It's incredibly exciting. I can hardly wait to get started."
During her interview, Lex also hinted at the possibility of the original Suits cast making appearances in the forthcoming legal drama, stating, "It's not out of the question. I would personally love that, but we'll see. You never know."
It's worth noting that the Duchess of Sussex previously portrayed the role of Rachel Zane, a paralegal, in the long-running and beloved series.
The former senior royal departed from Suits following her marriage to Prince Harry in 2017.
