Dr. Joy Buolamwini was honored with the award for her groundbreaking research and advocacy focusing on the impact of artificial intelligence on marginalized communities. The announcement was made by the Archewell Foundation on Thursday.
In a heartwarming video capturing the surprise moment, Dr. Buolamwini appeared visibly shocked as the Duke and Duchess of Sussex approached her to share the exciting news.
"You won!" Meghan joyfully exclaimed as she embraced Dr. Buolamwini in a hug, followed by Prince Harry offering his own warm embrace.
