Omid Scobie, known as a close associate of Prince Harry and Meghan Markle, has unveiled plans for a new royal-themed book, mere months after the controversial release of his previous work, "Endgame."
The British journalist is collaborating with US young adult fiction author Robin Benway for their upcoming novel, exploring the dynamics between English and American heads of state.
As reported by publishersweekly.com, the book will center around a "young American woman who transitions from a press role at the White House to one at Buckingham Palace."
Described as a "fun, fish-out-of-water romantic workplace comedy," the novel promises an engaging narrative set against the backdrop of royal and political spheres.
Taking to the platform X, formerly known as Twitter, Omid Scobie shared the exciting news, expressing anticipation to unveil further details about the project. He wrote, "Some exciting news to share [via @PublishersWkly]. Can't wait to share more details about this project with you all. Today's announcement marks the start of something very special."
Scobie's previous venture faced significant backlash for its portrayal of senior members of the royal family, alleged to have made racist remarks about Meghan and Harry's son, Prince Archie.
Although Scobie initially denied involvement in revealing the names, he later admitted to including them in the initial drafts of the book.
