Royal expert Jennie Bond suggests that Meghan's meetings with members of the royal family will likely be limited. Bond speculates that Meghan may be confined to meetings with King Charles and perhaps Princesses Eugenie and Beatrice.
"The rest of the family would have to think hard about the implications of meeting Harry and Meghan," Bond shared with New Magazine.
The strained relationship between the Sussexes and the royal family, exacerbated by Prince Harry's recent memoir, "Spare," has intensified existing tensions, particularly with Prince William and Kate Middleton.
In his memoir, Harry detailed a physical altercation involving William, further exacerbating the rift.
As a result, upon Harry and Meghan's potential return, senior members of the royal family may feel compelled to demonstrate their loyalty to the future king and queen, according to Bond.
The update follows Harry's recent legal battle against the Home Office regarding security protection in the UK, which ended in defeat. The outcome leaves the plans for the Sussexes' return uncertain.
