Omid Scobie, a journalist often associated with Meghan Markle, has launched scathing allegations against the royal family, particularly in the wake of the Princess Kate photo scandal.
Scobie amplified a tweet from Forbes that quoted the global news director of Agence France-Presse (AFP), revealing that Kensington Palace is no longer considered a 'trusted source' of information.
Taking to social media, Scobie asserted, "My book 'Endgame' contains extensive reporting and detailed accounts that corroborate these claims." He continued, emphasizing the gravity of the situation, "This isn't just about a single mismanaged photo release; it's indicative of years of deceit, cover-ups, and misinformation."
The controversy surrounding Princess Kate's photo emerged after an official image featuring her smiling alongside her children, Prince George, Princess Charlotte, and Prince Louis, was unveiled on March 10. However, the image came under scrutiny when AFP issued a 'Kill Notification,' suspecting photo manipulation.
Addressing the growing concerns and speculations, Princess Kate clarified the matter on March 11 via the official social media channels of the Prince and Princess of Wales. She openly admitted to editing the photo and expressed regret for any resulting confusion.
As the controversy continues to unfold, the royal family's transparency and communication strategies are under renewed scrutiny, with figures like Omid Scobie amplifying calls for increased openness and accountability from the monarchy.
