Palace aides, in a stern rebuke to a journalist's claim in Spain, labeled the allegations of Kate being in a medically induced coma as "ludicrous" and unfounded.
The speculation gained traction anew on social media following Prince William's abrupt withdrawal from a significant engagement, citing an undisclosed "personal matter" on Tuesday.
A spokesperson for the Duchess of Cambridge informed Newsweek that the assertions were "ludicrous" and had not undergone verification by Kensington Palace.
Nevertheless, despite the denial, the palace has not disclosed Kate's medical condition, leading to rampant conjecture and gossip.
"It's utter nonsense. The journalist made no effort to corroborate her claims with anyone in the household. It's completely fabricated, and to put it mildly, it's absolutely false," a palace official previously stated to The Times.
