Prince Harry showcased his sense of humor while subtly addressing the ongoing royal feud during a delightful encounter at la Barbecue in Texas.
Accompanied by Meghan Markle, the couple indulged in the famous Texas BBQ following the latter's appearance at the SXSW Conference on International Women’s Day in Austin.
During their visit, the duke shared a lighthearted moment with the restaurant owner, Allison Clem, as they admired a mural of British rocker Freddie Mercury dressed as Queen Elizabeth near a unisex bathroom. Harry suggested taking a photo in front of it, to which Clem jokingly responded, “I think you are in enough trouble as it is,” eliciting laughter from Harry.
According to Cory Rivademar, the director of Operations, the Sussexes were gracious and charming throughout their visit, interacting warmly with the staff and other patrons. Rivademar praised them as "absolutely lovely," noting their genuine demeanor and kindness towards everyone.
Even after their departure, the restaurant received glowing feedback from Meghan's representative, who expressed their delight at the exceptional BBQ experience.
The encounter highlighted the couple's down-to-earth nature and their ability to maintain positivity amidst ongoing scrutiny and challenges, earning admiration from those around them.
