Duke of Sussex Eyes Transition to Part-Time Royal Role Despite Past Controversies
Prince Harry is reportedly contemplating a return to his royal duties and aiming to mend his strained relationship with his brother, Prince William, despite previous rebellious acts against the monarchy.
In an interview with The Mirror, royal expert Tom Quinn suggested that Harry may soon come to regret his decision to relocate to the US with Meghan Markle, driven by concerns over media scrutiny and perceived unfair treatment within the palace.
Quinn speculated that as Harry and Meghan's relationship matures and mellows, Harry might begin to feel "lost" and seek reconnection with his family. "At this juncture, Harry will likely intensify his efforts to bridge the gap with his brother and strive to adopt the part-time royal role he envisions sharing with Meghan," Quinn remarked.
However, Quinn also noted that palace officials might resist Harry's desire for reintegration into the royal family. The author of "Spare" may also attempt to mend his fractured relationships with estranged family members to bolster their joint business ventures in America.
Quinn further elaborated that Harry might be content with assuming a "minor role" within the royal family, particularly if it helps maintain public favor. "Under pressure to sustain some form of familial ties, Harry aims to support the couple's new business endeavors by securing a minor royal role," Quinn shared with the outlet.
"Despite the challenges, Harry remains hopeful for reconciliation and aspires to be offered a lesser role within the royal family," he added, shedding light on the Duke of Sussex's ongoing efforts to navigate his evolving roles amidst personal and professional transitions.
