Queen Camilla presided over the memorial for King Constantine II, the late king of Greece and second cousin of King Charles, held at Windsor Castle on Tuesday.
Despite Prince Charles's intended eulogy, he was absent due to his ongoing cancer treatment, leaving an unexpected void in the ceremony at St. George's Chapel.
Kensington Palace provided no further explanation for William's absence, though royal insiders affirm that Kate Middleton is "progressing well" after her recent abdominal surgery.
The sudden withdrawal by the future king raised eyebrows, especially given the significance of the event to him.
Royal commentator Sarah Hewson highlighted the close relationship between Prince William and the late King of Greece, emphasizing their familial and personal ties, including shared interests such as sailing.

Despite assurances regarding Kate's health, doubts persist about the true reason for William's absence.
