Meghan Markle's decision to distance herself from her eponymous brand stems from a waning public favor in the USA, post her royal tenure.

In a conversation with MailOnline, PR specialist Sean O'Meara posited that the dynamics of 'personal branding' for Meghan and Prince Harry have shifted, particularly following the mixed reception of their Netflix documentary.

O'Meara commented, "Both seem to be more reticent about directly linking their identities to the initiatives they're involved with."

According to Sean, the couple appears to be heeding the counsel of their PR advisors, who advocate for a more subdued public profile.

Discussing Meghan's latest venture, the PR maven observed that adopting a 'private label' strategy allows the brand to cultivate its distinct identity while minimizing Meghan's personal exposure.

He elaborated, "In many cases, keeping the founder detached from the brand is a strategic move, especially when contemplating a potential sale. A brand that isn't solely reliant on an individual's image tends to be more marketable."
