The 42-year-old Princess of Wales disclosed her ongoing preventative chemotherapy treatment following a significant abdominal surgery in January.
Carole and Michael Middleton, Kate's parents, along with her siblings Pippa and James, have been actively assisting and uplifting Kate during her recovery at her Windsor residence, which is conveniently situated near their own homes.
In her heartfelt video statement released on Friday, Kate shared, "In January, I had major abdominal surgery in London. Initially, my medical team believed my condition to be non-cancerous, and the surgery was deemed successful. However, post-operative tests revealed the presence of cancer. This news was profoundly shocking, and William and I are navigating this challenging journey privately for the well-being of our young family."
Recently, Kate was spotted alongside her mother, Carole, in a car, marking her first public appearance since Christmas Day in 2023.
Known for their hands-on grandparenting approach, Carole and Michael, both 74, have been instrumental in supporting Kate and William with their children, Prince George, Princess Charlotte, and Prince Louis. Friends describe Kate's parents as "fantastic" grandparents.
