The Duchess of Cambridge is deeply moved by the bravery and words of encouragement from eight-year-old Mila Sneddon, who herself triumphed over cancer and met Princess Kate during her treatment.
Sneddon, now in remission, reached out to the Duchess with a powerful message: "You will be brave because I was, and you will fight it like I did."
Their heartfelt connection began in 2021 when Sneddon's photograph was featured in Kate's lockdown photography initiative. According to The Daily Mail, after Sneddon's image was chosen for the Hold Still exhibition and book, the Duchess and the young survivor had an emotional phone conversation.
Their bond strengthened further when they met face-to-face in May 2021 at the Palace of Holyroodhouse in Edinburgh, where Sneddon and her family were invited by Kate.
In a touching coincidence, Kate's announcement about her "preventative chemotherapy" treatment was made on the second anniversary of Sneddon's remission, highlighting the shared strength and resilience between the two.
