Until recently, Kate Middleton remained unaware of her niece's cancer diagnosis.
Gary Goldsmith, the uncle of Kate Middleton, has made the decision to refrain from attending the Celebrity Big Brother final in light of his niece's recent cancer diagnosis.
Using X, formerly known as Twitter, the British businessman communicated his departure from the reality show to his followers.
"In light of today's heartbreaking news, I will not be participating in tonight's Celebrity Big Brother final," Goldsmith shared in his tweet. "I want to express my deep gratitude to my fellow housemates and everyone involved in creating this outstanding show. Wishing you all a memorable evening."
In a subsequent tweet, Goldsmith shared that he had only recently become aware of the news.
"As many may have noticed, I am featured in Saturday's 'Times Magazine.' This interview and photoshoot were conducted over a week ago, before I was informed about my niece Kate's devastating news," he disclosed.
Expressing his deep concern and sorrow, Goldsmith continued, "My thoughts and prayers are with Kate and the extended family during this challenging time. I am profoundly saddened by the timing of this published article."
Goldsmith emphasized that Kate's public announcement "puts an end to the rampant speculation and unfounded theories" surrounding her health and her noticeable absence from public view.
Concluding his heartfelt message, he appealed, "Let's rally behind Kate, William, and the children, granting them the privacy, time, and support they need during this difficult period."
