King Charles and Kate Middleton eagerly anticipate their upcoming retreat to Balmoral, finding solace and support in each other's company amidst their shared health challenges.
In discussions with Closer Weekly, an insider revealed the deepening connection between the monarch and his daughter-in-law as they navigate their respective health scares.
The royal family traditionally convenes for a summer retreat at Balmoral from late July to October.
"They eagerly discuss their plans to spend time together at Balmoral this summer, eagerly looking forward to it," shared the insider. "Kate may join Charles there ahead of the rest of the family, bringing the children along but without extended family."
The source emphasized the strengthened bond between King Charles and Kate, stating, "They have never been closer than they are right now."
"Facing their cancer journeys together has unexpectedly brought them even closer, a connection they both deeply appreciate," the source added.
In February, Buckingham Palace disclosed King Charles' diagnosis with an undisclosed form of cancer, shortly after he received treatment for an enlarged prostate.
Over a month later, Princess Kate revealed her own cancer diagnosis, discovered during post-operative tests following abdominal surgery in January.
