Prince Harry's desire for reconciliation with the royal family is reportedly hindered by Meghan Markle's reluctance to mend her relationship with Kate Middleton.
According to insights shared with The Mirror by royal expert Tom Quinn, there is a divergence in the opinions of the Duke and Duchess of Sussex regarding extending an olive branch to the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge.
While Prince Harry is inclined to move past the conflicts and foster a renewed relationship with his family, Meghan Markle remains steadfast in her demand for an apology for perceived mistreatment.
"Despite the recent challenges, there has been a noticeable change in the Sussexes' stance towards reconciliation. However, Meghan's lingering grievances are a significant obstacle to any meaningful progress," Quinn commented.
Quinn further elaborated on the potential for illness to catalyze family reunions, suggesting that Kate Middleton's health condition had raised hopes within Kensington Palace for a possible reconciliation.
"Harry is eager to mend fences and support his wife's aspirations, but Meghan's insistence on receiving a sincere apology from the Royal family remains a sticking point," Quinn added.
Previously, Quinn had observed that Prince William views the disagreements between the families as minor conflicts that should be easily resolved, likening them to common disputes between siblings.
