Kate Middleton's Health Revelation Prompts Meghan Markle's Plan Adjustment
Meghan Markle faces a setback in her quest for increased popularity with her latest project, as Kate Middleton's cancer disclosure impacts her promotional plans.
The Duchess of Sussex, who recently introduced her brand, American Riviera Orchard, via an Instagram video, has considerably reduced her promotional efforts following the announcement of the Princess of Wales' cancer diagnosis.
Meghan had unveiled American Riviera Orchard just a week prior to the public revelation of Kate Middleton's health condition.
Royal commentator Tom Quinn suggests that Meghan is reevaluating her strategy due to these circumstances, stating: "Meghan likely regrets the timing of her brand launch so closely following Kate’s health news. While she can't voice her concerns openly, she once again finds herself overshadowed by her sister-in-law."
Quinn shared with the Mirror: "Meghan is likely seeking ways to continue promoting her brand, but with a more subdued approach than initially planned, especially considering the brand launch might highlight tensions between her, Harry, and Kate and King Charles during this challenging period."
He continued, "There's growing astonishment that Meghan hasn't chosen to rise above past conflicts, return to the UK with her family, and extend her support during this difficult time."
"When faced with both your sister-in-law and father-in-law battling cancer, maintaining a passive stance doesn't resonate well, particularly for Meghan, who has always emphasized compassion and empathy. While she has previously presented herself as someone capable of rising above, this situation seems to have left her uncertain about her next steps, fearing potential damage to her image."
