As Prince Harry contemplates a visit to the UK in May, his first since Kate Middleton publicly revealed her cancer diagnosis, Prince William and Kate are reportedly imposing stringent conditions for his stay.
Despite Harry and Meghan Markle extending their support to the Duchess of Cambridge through a public statement following her health announcement in March, the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge seem to be approaching the situation with caution.
An insider close to the Waleses disclosed to The Daily Beast, "While the public statement from Harry and Meghan was seen by many as an attempt to mend fences, William and Kate have different priorities at the moment."
The source added, "William and Kate value their privacy and tranquility, especially for the sake of their children. A visit from Harry, given the potential drama it might entail, doesn't align with their current wishes."
Furthermore, another acquaintance of the royal couple hinted at a growing acceptance of the rift between the two brothers. "William and Kate have reached a point of acceptance regarding their estrangement from Harry. They are inclined to maintain the status quo rather than reopening old wounds."
Interestingly, it seems Prince Harry's UK visit might be in jeopardy altogether. Express.co.uk reported that Harry's security team has raised concerns about his safety following the public revelation of his travel plans.
