Prince William and Kate Middleton are reportedly unhappy about the prospect of Prince Harry and Meghan Markle joining them at the Balmoral retreat later this year.
According to reports, King Charles has extended an invitation to the Duke and Duchess of Sussex to visit the Scottish estate in the summer, hoping to reunite with his grandchildren, Archie and Lilibet.
However, it remains uncertain whether the couple from Montecito will accept the olive branch. Royal commentator Charlotte Griffiths conveyed the feelings of the Prince and Princess of Wales, stating, "they won’t be happy."
“There is no chance that the two families would crossover that’s for sure,” she told TalkTV.
Griffiths, also the editor-at-large of the Mail On Sunday, suggested that even if Prince Harry accepts the invitation, Meghan is unlikely to participate in the reunion with the royal family.
Charlotte noted that Meghan has never been particularly fond of the rural royal life and the traditional accommodations at Balmoral, such as the "cold two bar radiators and the boot rooms."
