Princess Kate Middleton Unintentionally Breaks Late Queen Elizabeth's Food Tradition

Princess Kate Middleton appears to have inadvertently breached a supposed royal food tradition attributed to the late Queen Elizabeth.

As reported by the Daily Express, Princess Kate discussed her family's culinary preferences during a visit to the Great Ormand Street Hospital in 2018.

During an interaction with four-year-old Rafael Chana, who expressed his fondness for olives, Kate shared that she, too, had enjoyed them as a child.

The Duchess, currently on hiatus from royal duties following her recent cancer diagnosis, reminisced, "I used to eat lots and lots of olives when I was little as well."

Royal correspondent Rebecca English tweeted about the exchange on X, revealing that Kate encouraged her children, Princess Charlotte and Prince George, to join her in cooking, including experimenting with olives.

However, MyLondon suggests that the late Queen Elizabeth preferred to keep her favorite foods undisclosed to avoid them becoming overly common at royal events. Known for her appreciation of diverse cuisines, the Queen opted not to reveal her preferences to ensure she could explore new culinary experiences without bias.

The revelation inadvertently made by Princess Kate highlights the contrast between her approach to food and the late Queen's tradition of culinary discretion.
