As Prince William and Kate Middleton approach their 13th wedding anniversary next week, details have emerged about how the couple intends to celebrate this milestone.
In an exclusive interview with Spin Genie, former royal butler Grant Harrold shared insights into the plans of the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge for their special day on April 29.
Acknowledging the significance of the occasion and considering Kate's ongoing health treatments for an undisclosed cancer diagnosis, Harrold emphasized that the celebrations would be conducted with a strong emphasis on privacy.
"Given Kate's current situation, their anniversary won't be a public affair; it will be a very private affair," Harrold revealed.
He speculated that Prince William, known for his culinary skills, might take charge of preparing a special meal for the occasion, ensuring that Kate feels cherished and pampered behind closed doors.
"It's possible that William might take on the role of chef for the day. He's quite adept in the kitchen, so he might prepare a little meal or something," Harrold suggested.
Furthermore, Harrold anticipated that the couple would exchange gifts and heartfelt cards as part of their anniversary tradition, regardless of the private nature of the celebration.
"There will undoubtedly be an exchange of gifts between them. I have no doubt they will also exchange heartfelt cards," the former palace staffer remarked.
Reflecting on the potential arrangements for the anniversary meal, Harrold speculated that it could either be a cozy affair for just the couple or a gathering involving close friends and family, depending on Kate's well-being.
"There will likely be a special meal arranged, whether it's an intimate gathering with loved ones or just the two of them. It all hinges on how Kate is feeling," he concluded.
