Kate Middleton is slated to miss the customary rehearsal for the forthcoming birthday parade of King Charles next month.
Reports indicate that Kensington Palace has disclosed a replacement for the Duchess of Cambridge to fulfill the role of Inspecting Officer at the Trooping the Colour Colonel review on Saturday, June 8.
Lieutenant General James Bucknall will oversee the review as Colonel of the Coldstream Guards in lieu of the future Queen, who would have traditionally taken the salute as Colonel in Chief of the Irish Guards.
This decision coincides with palace silence regarding Kate's presence at the event, as she continues to remain out of the public eye following her cancer treatment.
Meanwhile, the British Army has only recently confirmed King Charles' arrangements to accommodate his current health condition.
In a significant departure from tradition, the monarch, who is battling cancer, will travel by carriage instead of on horseback for the military spectacle.
Regarding the potential attendance of Prince William and the children, GB News' royal correspondent Cameron Walker and digital Royal editor Svar Nanan-Sen shared their insights.
"I believe it would be heartening to witness the royal children on the balcony, given the challenging six months the Royal Family has endured. I think the British public would truly appreciate their presence."
"However, the decision ultimately rests with William and Catherine. Considering the young age of the children and the condition of the princess, if their participation proves overwhelming, I doubt the British public would hold it against them," remarked Cameron.
