Meghan Markle relished the experience of being treated like a part-time royal during her Nigeria visit.
King Charles III is reportedly under increasing pressure to reintegrate Prince Harry and Meghan Markle into the royal family in a part-time capacity following their successful trip to Nigeria.
According to royal expert Tom Quinn, the Duchess of Sussex enjoyed her time in Nigeria, where she and Prince Harry were treated with the same reverence as active royals. "Meghan sees her visit to Nigeria as a huge success and proof that she and Harry should have been allowed to be part-time royals because they excel in such roles," Quinn stated.
In an interview with The Mirror, Quinn praised Meghan for her confidence and energy throughout the tour. "Meghan's delight was evident; she thrived on being regarded as a significant figure," he noted.
Contrastingly, Quinn observed that Prince Harry appeared less assured. "Harry often seemed uncertain and had a somewhat forlorn demeanor, looking like someone unsure of the task at hand, overshadowed by his more confident wife," Quinn remarked.
Quinn reiterated his belief that Meghan's enjoyment and perceived success in Nigeria underscore her argument for their part-time royal status. "This trip has bolstered Meghan’s view that they are highly effective in these roles," he explained.
However, Quinn also highlighted the potential fallout from their actions. "Harry, buoyed by Meghan's confidence, might not realize that their unofficial royal tour to Nigeria has only intensified the anger of his brother and father. King Charles and Prince William are now more resolved than ever to distance themselves from him," he added.
Previously, Quinn told the outlet, "William is absolutely furious and determined to prevent this from happening again. Charles has been seen angrier than ever before."
