Meanwhile, Camilla, already the patron of the National Stud and president of the Ebony Horse Club, a London-based riding charity, is well-suited for her new role given her avid interest in racing and breeding. This new title allows her to expand on her existing engagements within the sport.
York Racecourse chairman, Bridget Guerin, expressed her delight, stating she was “both honored and thrilled that Her Majesty has agreed to be the royal patron of York.”
