Amidst an axed meeting, Prince Harry's desire for a photo session with King Charles to showcase his royal ties was met with refusal.
According to royal commentator Tom Bower, King Charles rebuffed Prince Harry's intention to flaunt his royal lineage during his upcoming journey to Nigeria.
In discussions with GB News, Bower revealed that the Duke of Sussex had aimed to capture a moment with his ailing father during the now-cancelled meeting. This photo was intended to underscore his affiliation with the royal family on his anticipated tour alongside Meghan Markle.
However, the astute 75-year-old monarch saw through Harry's motives, leading him to decline any meeting during his current visit to the UK.
"The King and his advisors have recognized the true nature of Harry's intentions. It's simply a bid to bolster his image, which is currently suffering greatly," remarked Bower.
Expanding on this, he stated, "The crux of the matter is, Harry sought a photo opportunity with the King to assert his status in Nigeria. However, the King rightfully refused."
Thus, Prince Harry's endeavor to utilize his royal connections for his Nigerian tour was thwarted by King Charles's insight.
