Meghan Markle can't celebrate Mother's Day with Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet
During her trip to Nigeria, Meghan Markle couldn't help but gush about her two children, Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet.
The Duchess of Sussex opened up about motherhood and the balance between her career and raising her young children during a panel discussion on Saturday, as reported by People Magazine.
Ahead of International Mother’s Day, Meghan expressed her love for being a mom and shared a rare detail about Archie and Lilibet.
“Being a mom has always been a dream of mine. And I’m so fortunate that we have two beautiful, healthy, very chatty, sweet children,” she said. “I love being a mom, I love being a mom.”
This heartfelt mention of her children came as Meghan and Prince Harry embarked on their first official tour of Nigeria on Friday, starting with a visit to a school in Abuja, the capital city.
During the visit, Meghan shared another endearing detail about their daughter.
“Our daughter, Lili, she’s much, much tinier than you guys. She’s about to turn three,” Meghan said. “And a few weeks ago, she looked at me and saw her reflection in my eyes. She said, ‘Mama, I see me in you.’”
Meghan reflected on Lilibet's words, noting that while her daughter was speaking literally, she interpreted them in a more profound way. She told the students, “I thought, yes, I do see me in you, and you see me in you. As I look around this room, I see myself in all of you as well.”
