Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet, who stayed in Montecito with their grandmother Doria Ragland during their parents' trip to Nigeria, might accompany Prince Harry and Meghan Markle on their next international tour.
According to royal commentator Richard Fitzwilliams, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex might bring their children along on their next overseas engagement.
“They could take their children on tour if they wanted to,” Fitzwilliams told GB News. “The Sussexes spring surprises, and while they are obsessed with privacy, there are aspects of that which have proven to be hypocritical, as seen by the way they have attacked the royal family.”
He continued, “They guard their own privacy but have shared details when they wanted to, as seen in the Harry & Meghan documentary. It will be interesting to see how and when their children appear.”
During their visit to Nigeria, the Sussexes provided updates on their children, with Meghan sharing insights into motherhood.
The Duchess explained how she balances work and family life, saying, “We're just doing great. And happy to be watching our family grow up and evolve. Of course, I’m happy. We're really happy.”
While the couple's next international trip has not been disclosed, some experts believe Harry and Meghan have a list of countries they plan to visit. However, concerns have been raised over the safety of these unofficial 'royal tours.'
Royal commentator Richard Eden discussed the potential diplomatic risks of such trips. Speaking on Palace Confidential, Eden said, “Harry made a comment about this trip; it could be the first of many. I’ve been hearing mutterings in diplomatic circles here that there is great concern about this.”
He added, “It’s very dangerous. You’ve got Harry and Meghan potentially visiting countries without the control typically exerted by the Foreign Office over royal trips.”
As the Sussexes prepare for future travels, the possibility of seeing Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet on these international engagements remains an intriguing prospect.
