Prince George and Archie to Miss Godfather's Wedding Amid William-Harry Feud

Prince George and Archie to Miss Godfather's Wedding Amid William-Harry Feud

The ongoing feud between Prince William and Prince Harry means that Prince George and Prince Archie are unlikely to attend their godfather Hugh Grosvenor’s wedding.

The wedding, set for Friday, June 7, conflicts with George's school schedule at Lambrook School in Windsor, where he studies alongside his younger siblings, Princess Charlotte and Prince Louis.

Prince Archie, on the other hand, is not expected to travel to the UK, as Prince Harry has reportedly declined the invitation to Hugh’s wedding. It is believed that Harry feels slighted for not being asked to play a significant role in the ceremony.

Prince William may be the only senior royal at the wedding of the Duke of Westminster to Olivia Henson. Princess Kate will also miss the event as she is recovering from cancer treatment.

Both William and Harry have shared a strong friendship with the 33-year-old Duke of Westminster, who is a godfather to both Prince George and Prince Archie. The wedding, which will take place at Chester Cathedral, is expected to host around 400 guests.

However, the Duke of Sussex is reportedly not on the guest list for this "society event of the year" due to his strained relationship with William. This rift also means their sons will miss the chance to see each other.

William will serve as an usher at the wedding, with his son, Prince George, also taking part in the ceremony, according to The Times.

Rumors initially suggested that Hugh did not invite Harry due to the ongoing tensions between the brothers, but sources told the Daily Mail that Harry chose to skip the nuptials because he felt "put out" by not being asked to be an usher.
