Living independently in the US, Meghan Markle and Prince Harry have moved past the fear of losing their royal titles.
The Duke and Duchess of Sussex recently wrapped up a successful tour of Nigeria, invited by the Chief of Defense Staff.
Despite King Charles and Prince William's vocal disapproval of their actions, they are planning more international tours like this one.
An insider told Heat magazine, “The impact they made in Nigeria and the incredible support they received have been very affirming. Meghan feels they don’t need to worry about losing their royal titles.”
“Titles are nice, but Harry and Meghan now understand that they don’t need them, nor do they need to be on good terms with the royals to make an impact.”
“Meghan feels their brand is growing stronger. While she wouldn’t say it publicly, it’s clear she views the royal family as an outdated institution.”
“In her opinion, she and Harry don’t need the royals, and they never have. They only need each other,” the source added.
