Prince Harry and Meghan Markle have come under fire over their potential plans to visit Ghana following their successful tour of Nigeria.
During a conversation with Maureen Callahan, GB News host Nana Akua, herself the daughter of Ghanaian immigrants, shared her thoughts on the Duke and Duchess of Sussex and their contentious history with the royal family.
"My mother says the way she treated the Queen is a disgrace. I know a lot of Ghanaians probably feel the same way. It's a shocker," Akua stated.
Callahan agreed, noting, "This kind of treatment of family members transcends cultures, religions, and all kinds of boundaries. Many people have difficult relationships with parents, but to dig their heels in this deeply and engage in such bitter sniping... there are larger issues at play."
The royal commentator added, "They're searching for any nation that will welcome them with the recognition they believe they deserve."
These reactions follow reports that Ghanaian authorities are considering inviting the couple to their country.
