Prince Harry and Meghan Markle were warmly greeted upon their arrival in Lagos, marking the final day of their Nigerian visit.
The Duke and Duchess of Sussex were welcomed at the airport with a red carpet and a vibrant cultural performance, featuring traditional Nigerian acrobatic dance, as reported by People Magazine.
Meghan, elegantly clad in a white Carolina Herrera button-down shirt paired with a traditional Nigerian skirt gifted to her during their visit to Abuja, exuded grace and cultural appreciation.
The reception echoed the warm welcome received by Harry’s parents during their visit to Nigeria in March 1990. Princess Diana and Prince Charles were also greeted with similar enthusiasm upon their arrival at Murtala Muhammed International Airport in Lagos for an official visit.
During their time in Nigeria, Prince Harry and Meghan are guests of honor at the invitation of the Chief of Defense Staff, General Christopher Gwabin Musa OFR, the country’s highest-ranking military official.
Their itinerary includes a visit to a basketball clinic with Giants of Africa, participation in a cultural reception, and attendance at a polo fundraiser for Nigeria: Unconquered. This fundraiser supports the national charity dedicated to veterans and operates in partnership with the Invictus Games Foundation.
