The Duke and Duchess of Sussex have stirred up yet another controversy by reportedly mingling with a wanted individual.
Their journey to Nigeria was courtesy of Air Peace, a Nigerian airline owned by Dr. Allen Onyema, who provided them with complimentary flights and catered to their every need, citing their royal status.
However, Dr. Onyema is wanted in the US, facing charges related to alleged fraud amounting to millions of dollars, according to a federal indictment filed in November 2019.
The indictment accuses the Nigerian tycoon of using his influence as a prominent business leader and airline executive to launder more than $20 million from Nigeria through US bank accounts.
There is no suggestion that Prince Harry and Meghan were aware of Dr. Onyema's legal troubles.
This news comes on the heels of the Sussexes' return to the US after a successful visit to explore the possibility of hosting future Invictus Games in Africa.
Their tour, which some have criticized as resembling royal engagements, has drawn ire from royal experts and commentators.
Royal author Tom Quinn revealed to The Mirror that Prince William is furious about the tour, and King Charles is "angrier than ever" about their recent actions.
