Prince Harry commemorated a decade of the Invictus Games with a heartfelt speech during the Thanksgiving service at St. Paul’s Cathedral on Wednesday.
Joined by his late mother Princess Diana’s brother, Charles Spencer, and sister, Lady Jane Fellowes, the Duke of Sussex was greeted with cheers and laughter upon his arrival at the service.
In his speech, Prince Harry honored fellow servicemen for their selfless contributions and ability to bring about positive change beyond their own interests.
He quoted, "Now there are varieties of gifts, but the same spirit; and there are varieties of service, but the same Lord; and there are varieties of activities, but it is the same God who activates all of them in everyone."
The Prince continued, "To each is given the manifestation of the spirit for the common good. To one is given through the Spirit the expression of wisdom; to another the expression of knowledge according to the same Spirit. To another, faith by the same Spirit; to another, gifts of healing by the one Spirit."
Prince Harry's words resonated with attendees, emphasizing the importance of unity and collective effort in serving the greater good.
Notably absent from the occasion were King Charles and other members of the royal family, despite purportedly receiving an invitation from the Duke.
