Prince Harry Issues Statement Following UK Arrival: No Meeting with King Charles

Shortly after his arrival in the UK on Tuesday, Prince Harry made headlines with a significant announcement. He confirmed that he won't be meeting his cancer-stricken father, King Charles, during his visit.

A spokesperson for the Duke of Sussex conveyed to GB News, "In response to the numerous inquiries and ongoing speculation regarding whether the Duke will have a rendezvous with his father during his UK visit this week, unfortunately, it won't be feasible due to His Majesty’s busy schedule."

Expressing understanding for his father's commitments and various priorities, the Duke expressed hopes for a future reunion.

This statement came just hours after Harry's arrival in the UK, timed with his participation in the thanksgiving service for the Invictus Games, scheduled to take place at St. Paul's Cathedral on Wednesday (May 8). Additionally, Harry is slated to deliver a reading marking the 10th anniversary of the sporting competition he established in 2014 during his tenure as a working member of the royal family.

The last face-to-face meeting between Harry and Charles occurred in February 2024, following the King's cancer diagnosis. They convened at Clarence House for 45 minutes, though the Duke did not meet with his elder brother, Prince William.
