The chasm between Prince Harry and his ailing father, King Charles, seems to have widened, with the King, who is battling cancer, desperate to mend their fractured relationship.
Yet, in light of the rift and the Duke of Sussex’s startling accusations against his family, King Charles is now teetering on the edge of making a significant move against his “beloved boy,” according to royal expert Tom Quinn.
“Charles believes he has made considerable efforts to repair his bond with his son, but Harry remains unyielding,” Quinn shared with The Mirror.
The expert noted that with Harry standing firm in his stance, Charles is “altering his approach.”
“The new strategy involves adopting a tougher stance with Harry; shifting from a conciliatory to a more assertive approach, though palace insiders concur that Charles is reaching his limit,” Quinn elaborated. “He yearns for reconciliation with his son, but his efforts seem futile.”
He added, “A fundamental issue is that Harry was never particularly close to his father during his childhood – often cared for by staff and shuffled between Diana and Charles, Harry has always appeared lost and neglected, and now it’s too late for his father to rectify that.”
Earlier this month, Prince Harry was denied a meeting with his father during his visit to London for an Invictus Games event. While fans had hoped for a father-son reconciliation, the prospects of that now seem increasingly dim.
