Prince Harry and Meghan Markle embarked on the first day of their Nigeria tour, engaging in various activities including a visit to Lights Academy school in Abuja. They interacted with children of all ages and staff members during their visit.

According to celebrity PR Guru Edward Hopkins, Meghan Markle played a supportive role during her husband's speech, standing beside him and offering encouragement. Hopkins suggested that Meghan purposefully refrained from adding her own insights to allow the focus to remain on Prince Harry and his efforts to normalize discussions around mental health.
Hopkins explained, "Meghan may have felt that Harry's message on mental health was strong and comprehensive, so she didn't feel the need to add anything further. By nodding along, she could be showing her agreement and support for his words."
He continued, suggesting that Meghan recognized Harry's expertise and passion in the area, choosing to give him space to address the audience on the topic.
"Meghan might simply be more comfortable in certain settings taking a supporting role rather than being in the spotlight. Given the nature of the event and the topic, she may have preferred to let Harry be the primary speaker,” Hopkins added.
