According to insights from a former palace official, who previously worked closely with both princes, it is Prince William who is being labeled as the primary barrier to improved communication between King Charles and Prince Harry.
Speaking to The Telegraph, royal commentator Petronella Wyatt highlighted this perspective, quoting the palace insider: "There is a public misconception about William and Harry. It is William who was often the difficult one, and it is William who is preventing his father from having a proper reconciliation with Harry."
The source further emphasized the significance of a reunion between the royal family members, stating, "This isn’t helpful at a point in time when the country would be buoyed up by seeing them together again, as would the King."
These revelations follow Prince Harry's recent visit to the UK, during which he reportedly faced a chilly reception from the royal family. Despite his desire to see his father, he was denied an audience due to King Charles's "full programme" amidst battling cancer. Additionally, none of the royal family members attended the church service commemorating 10 years of the Invictus Games, leaving Prince Harry to find solace in the unexpected presence of his late mother Princess Diana’s brother and sister-in-law at the event.
