Prince William, known for his steadfast nature, is resolute in his stance concerning his estranged brother, Prince Harry.
The relationship between King Charles’ two sons has been strained since the Duke of Sussex aired his grievances in his explosive memoir, Spare.
Despite hopes for a reconciliation following King Charles’ cancer diagnosis, the Prince of Wales remains firm in his decision, according to former BBC royal correspondent Jennie Bond.
Speaking to Times Radio, Bond remarked that once Prince William “sets his mind on something, it is very hard to dissuade him.”
She expressed hope for future reconciliation, but cautioned that “time can be a healer, but can also lead to people feeling entrenched in their positions.”
Although Prince Harry extended an olive branch to William and Kate Middleton after the shocking cancer diagnosis of the Princess of Wales, there has been no improvement in their relationship.
Bond noted that for William, Harry “really doesn't exist” as he is already dealing with “enough pressure on his heart and his head, with his wife’s ongoing cancer treatment and his father’s health.”
She emphasized that William's royal duties and responsibilities to his children leave “no room in his soul to worry about his estranged brother,” concluding that “William has disowned Harry.”
