During Harry's recent brief visit to the UK, he did not reconnect with King Charles or Prince William. Royal expert Jennie Bond explained that the Prince of Wales now views Harry as non-existent due to the increasing tension between them.
Bond, a former BBC royal correspondent, told Times Radio, "I think as far as William is concerned, Harry really doesn't exist." She further explained that William's heartbreak stems from overwhelming pressures, including Kate's ongoing cancer treatment, his responsibilities towards his father King Charles, his royal duties, and his children. "I think William has disowned Harry," she added.
The brothers' relationship has deteriorated further in recent years, exacerbated by the Sussexes' persistent claims and the feeling of betrayal from Harry's memoir. Friends of William and Kate previously told The Daily Beast that the Waleses have no intention of reconciliation, especially while Catherine is at her most vulnerable.
Despite this estrangement, Harry is reportedly eager to reconcile with King Charles. The monarch, too, wishes for peace in his twilight years, hoping to mend the fractured family ties.
