Prince William recently provided a rare update on his wife Kate Middleton's health and their family's plans during an overnight trip to Cornwall.
During his visit to St Mary’s Community Hospital on the Isles of Scilly in southwest England last week, Prince William was asked about Kate, who is currently undergoing cancer treatment. He responded that Kate was "doing well."
Prince William also shared a glimpse into their family life, mentioning their children—Prince George, 10, Princess Charlotte, 9, and Prince Louis, 6. "The children are very jealous that I am here… Maybe we might come later in the year," he said.
These comments have given royal watchers hope that the beloved princess is on the path to recovery.
For context, Kate has been absent from the public eye since early this year. After undergoing abdominal surgery in January, post-op tests revealed she had an undisclosed form of cancer.
In response to Kate's health needs, Prince William has reduced his official duties to spend more time with his family. However, his recent trip to Cornwall is seen as an encouraging sign of Kate's improving health.
